HELPS THE CHILD AND THE FAMILY ONE GEAR AT A TIME

With HJÄLTEPÄRLOR, seriously ill children create their own journal based on a child's perspective.

When a child is admitted to hospital with a SERIOUS DISEASE or a serious health condition, healthcare staff offer them a Hero's Guide. It opens with our rainbow pearl, which stands for the equal value and hopefulness of all children. Followed by the child's name.

During the hospital stay, the child undergoes many examinations, treatments and measures. On each occasion, they then receive a specific hero gem, for that particular event. In this way, each child's Hero Thread becomes completely unique and makes the child's heroism and bravery visible. For what HEROES they are!

Hjältetråden finns där varje steg på vägen

Hjältråden is a non-profit organization that supports all seriously ill children in Sweden, regardless of diagnosis or background. Through our unique concept, Hjältepärlor, we create a personal and meaningful journey for every child who is cared for in hospital.

Each bead symbolizes an important moment – a treatment, examination or event – and is strung on the child's Hero Thread. The thread becomes a physical representation of their courage, strength and endurance. At the same time, it gives the care staff a powerful tool to communicate, support and engage the child and family.

The hero thread is more than pearls – it is a red thread that connects hope, joy and security during a tough time. Together we make healthcare more humane and child-friendly.

HJÄLTEBARN- HILMA

Hjältetråden är något som vi tacksamt fått vara en del av. En tråd som visar vad Hilma gått igenom, för varje sak som sker eller Hilma gör på sjukhuset så får hon en ny pärla att trä på sin Hjältetråd. Det hela har gjort vår sjukhusvistelse mer hanterbar, det blir mer svart på vitt vad man faktiskt går igenom och framförallt vad Hilma går igenom. Hjältetråden gav också lite lycka under sjukhusvistelsen, att få se fram emot något, att pärla livade upp vardagen på sjukhuset. Men framförallt att bearbeta och reflektera över vad vi faktiskt gått och går igenom.

To work for the development of children's healthcare in Sweden. By seriously ill children, pearls are obtained for various examinations, treatments, measures and other healthcare interventions.
